Rocking Our School Shoes

The first week back to school students get to read the book Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes. Mrs. Good created a sign for the hall and had student's display shoes they colored.

Another rocking in our school shoes project! 

With the Animated Literacy that we teach each week students will complete two dictated drawling. Step by step we will create a picture that goes along with the word we learned. Students get to use our magic black pens, it's so much fun! On a normal 5 day week we will draw a picture on Tuesday and one on Thursday. This pictures will not come home until the Fall when we have complete the animated literary series. You then will get a notebook filled with all your child's master pieces.

The first two letter we learn are letters 'p' and 'u'. The first two words we learn are up and pup. Mrs. Good created a fun art project with the word pup and it has a AB pattern :)

Please remember students need shoes for gym. They are not allowed to wear boots and sandals during gym class. You may send a pair of shoes to school with your child that can keep in their cubby or they my just wear shoes on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. 

It was great to meet everyone that was able to make it to back to school night. I am so excited for this school year, we have an awesome group of students. If you ever have any questions or concerns PLEASE call or e-mail me so TOGETHER we can make it the best year for your student :).

 I am blessed to be able to have a few more at home with my 7 week old son, Mason. I will return to school on September 12th. However, if you need anything I am only a phone call away.
